The beRecruited Player Card is an interactive widget that enables high school athletes to reach and communicate with potential college coaches, relatives and fans through various digital platforms across the web. The widget shares a particular athlete’s personal, academic and athletic information & statistics, along with any photos, videos or news articles that may be associated with them. The ultimate goal of the widget was to make the beRecruited profile portable so athletes could share and promote themselves anywhere on the web – not just on beRecruited.com. The widget also enables users to not just view, but to interact with an athlete’s profile by allowing them to rate and comment on their published media. beRecruited, the largest online recruiting service in the industry, launched their Player Cards to over 175,000 athletes in March 2008.
